INTRODUCTION AND POEMS BY WILLIAM CORBETT
Ten In The Morning was Pressed Wafer’s first art book, a mini-retrospective of the work of Gerald Coble, a collagist long at work in Upstate New York. This was followed by Coble’s book of January days that he observed outside the windows of his house on the Battenkill River. Ten has some color plates; Battenkill is black and white with shades of gray like a beautifully lit black and white movie.
Cris Mattison designed both books.
